A 2-day course designed to prepare the hunter for conditions they will face while hunting big game in the rocky mountains. Your instructors are Army combat tested sniper’s, shooters and special operations soldiers with decades of combined experience. All the money you pay for this class will go towards getting our veterans and first responders stem cell therapy to improve their quality of life. After decades of war and service to their communities our nations men and women who answered the call of service are now facing life altering injuries and surgeries. Stem cell therapy has been proven to improve the quality of life for those who are eligible. Come improve your shooting skills and help those who selflessly watch over us, every day.
Bring your rifle and ammo and shoot at the base of the Wind River Range in Boulder, WY at 7,800 ft. Our course is set up to dial in your skills and fieldcraft from 200 to 800 yards in challenging wind and elevation conditions. Lunch and dinner will be provided by our own private chef, designed to be in a group setting as to allow for sharing of knowledge from our instructors and students.
We will focus on the following skills:
Using the environment to read wind from your firing position out to the target
Familiarization with cold bore shot
Ballistic loophole: in relation to bullet drop and wind drift
Fundamentals of the shooter’s stance and alternative firing positions
Learn to read bullet trace
Record each shot in your assigned data book to become intimately familiar with your rifle in endless wind, elevation, and range situations
Spotter training: to quickly advise on follow on target acquisition and follow on shots
Stress fire training to simulate elevated heart rate and adrenaline dump you will face when hunting big game in the Rocky Mountains
